Regenerative Grazing & Soil Health
The Foundation directs BBRHI's ranch operations toward a rotational grazing system that increases grass recovery, improves soil carbon sequestration, and is projected to reduce feed costs by 20–35% compared to conventional continuous grazing. This program improves water retention in the region's limestone-underlain soils and supports the recovery of native grasses and wildlife habitat across the portfolio.
- Mesquite management and cedar clearing
- Prescribed burning programs
- Water system upgrades and pond development
- Erosion control and terrace construction
- Soil testing and targeted improvement programs
